What People are Saying

"Our Guests Love It"

If you're looking to escape the crowds and dive into a peaceful, authentic slice of Chinese history, Fengjing is the place to go. This charming watertown exceeded all expectations—quiet, picturesque, and full of cultural soul.

The canals, stone bridges, and traditional houses felt like a step back in time. We saw residents going about their day and tiny family-owned shops selling handmade snacks and crafts. We visited very interesting sites and ate exceptional food.

Our tour guides, Laura and Michael, did a fantastic job from start to finish—picking us up at our hotel in a very comfortable vehicle, engaging with us constantly, making sure that we had everything we needed and sharing fascinating stories and facts about the town's history, Chinese culture, and architecture. They really brought the experience to life and made us feel well taken care of the entire time.

This tour is fantastic and ideal if you want something calm, authentic, and off the beaten path. Fengjing isn't touristy—it's real, beautiful, and unforgettable. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Shanghai who wants to see a different, more traditional side of China!

I had a wonderful day today! I especially loved paddling through the water town—it felt absolutely perfect with the music, creating an amazing vibe. There are jokes and fun people, this is the tour to go on. I will definitely recommend Eastbound and Beyond to my friends!

My favorite part is to see the architectures of the old buildings, especially when we took the boat down the river and see everything from a different perspective. I will definitely recommend Eastbound and Beyond to my friends because it is just a totally different experience. The group is very small and intimate, not a big tour group. So you feel more included and you learn more, experience more things you see and visit.

My favorite part of the trip is the boat cruising. You can see the whole trip from a different perspective. Also I like the music playing, along with the background, you could see the whole view. It is beautiful. I will definitely recommend Eastbound and Beyond to my friends and I actually already recommended to some friends and they also want to participate in the tour. Some of them even live in Shanghai for years and there are still lots of hidden gems out there that they do not know. So they would love to explore.
